What you get

Pre-game scoutingAn overlay reads the lobby during hero select and shows every player's rank, MMR, best heroes and recent-form badges.

Instant post-game analysisWithin seconds of a match ending, see your PPI for that game and three concrete things to work on next.

Automatic replay syncNew replays are parsed locally and indexed on your profile. You don't have to upload anything by hand, and you don't need a third-party account.

Ultra-lightweightIt weighs under 10 MB installed, uses ~30-50 MB of RAM idle and starts in well under a second, so the overlay is ready when HotS launches.

Is it safe?

Local game files only: no memory, no injectionHotsCompanion only reads files Heroes of the Storm itself writes to disk: your .StormReplay files after each match, and the replay.server.battlelobby file the game creates when a lobby starts (that's how pre-game scouting knows who's in it). It never reads game memory and never injects code, so it can't touch your game or put your account at risk.

Direct, no-strings downloadThe installer is served straight from this page: no third-party download manager, no bundled extras, and no account needed just to install it.

Verify what you downloadedEvery published build is signed with minisign. The signature proves the installer really came from us, not just that it arrived intact, and checking it takes one command.

The app isn't signed with a paid code-signing certificate yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn about an "unknown publisher" on first launch. That's expected. Click "More info", then "Run anyway".

Signature (authenticity)

Every published build is signed with a private key that only our release pipeline holds, and that signature is what proves the build is genuinely ours. The desktop app checks it on every update by itself, refuses anything that fails, and that check cannot be turned off. Your first install is the one moment nothing checks for you: doing it yourself takes a single command.

The same public key is pinned on our Discord. Compare the two before you trust a build: if this page were ever tampered with, the key printed here could be swapped along with the installer, and the copy on Discord is your second, independent source.

HotsCompanion only reads files the game writes to disk (match replays and the pre-game lobby file). It never reads game memory or injects code, in line with Blizzard's Terms of Service. Not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment.
