This policy explains what personal data HotsCompanion processes, why, and the rights you have over it. We keep data collection to a minimum.
Data controller
The data controller is the HotsCompanion Operator (see the Legal Notice). For any data-protection request, contact [email protected].
Data we collect
Account data: when you sign in with Battle.net we store your BattleTag, your Battle.net account identifier and, where available, your preferred region and avatar. We never receive your Blizzard password.
Game and technical data: heroes, talents, scores and results extracted from public replays and HeroesProfile, plus your IP address, browser type and access logs, and a small number of cookies needed for sign-in and language.
Why we use it
To build player profiles and statistics, keep you signed in, remember your language and display settings, operate and secure the service, and produce anonymous aggregated usage metrics. No sensitive data is collected.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (your session) and to store your chosen language. We do not use advertising cookies. Any future analytics or third-party cookies will be set only with your consent.
Sharing with third parties
We rely on a few providers to run the service: Battle.net for sign-in, our hosting provider. We never sell your personal data and share it only as needed to operate the service or comply with the law.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and debugging. Public match data may remain in our database to keep statistics consistent; you can request removal of your profile at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and request data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Public profiles
Player profiles are built from public match data and are visible without an account, like other Heroes of the Storm statistics sites. If you do not want your profile listed, contact us and we will remove it.
