Acceptance of the terms

By accessing or using HotsCompanion you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

HotsCompanion provides analytics and improvement tools for Heroes of the Storm: player profiles, hero statistics, tier lists, a performance index (PPI) and related features, on the web and through a desktop companion app. It is provided for informational and entertainment purposes, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.

Accounts

Some features require signing in with Battle.net. You are responsible for activity on your account and for complying with Blizzard's own terms of service. Keep your access secure.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no scraping beyond our public API limits, no attempt to disrupt or overload the service, no reverse engineering, and no use that breaks the law or infringes others' rights. Automated access must respect the published rate limits.

Content you publish

MythicMates lets you publish a rating and, optionally, a short public comment about another player's character. You are responsible for what you write. It is published under the name of the character you rated with, anyone can read it in the addon and on hotscompanion.com, and it stays visible until you change it or moderation removes it.

Not allowed: insults, harassment, threats, hateful content, anything unlawful, personal data about someone else (real name, address, BattleTag, account), advertising, and ratings that do not describe a key you actually played together. A comment is limited to 160 bytes of plain text; links, images and formatting are impossible, because the markup characters are stripped on arrival.

Moderation: we can remove the text of a rating without removing the rating, remove a rating, correct its stars or text (it is still shown under its author's name), or restrict an account that breaks these rules repeatedly. The public page of a character (the one that shows the votes it received) carries a reporting form; reports are handled in order, a reporter who was signed in is told the decision and its reasons, and the author of a moderated vote can ask for the reason in writing. Intellectual property

The HotsCompanion software, design and original content are protected by intellectual-property law. Heroes of the Storm and all related assets remain the property of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Nothing here grants you any rights over Blizzard's intellectual property.

HotsCompanion is an independent, fan-made project and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.

The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that statistics are accurate, complete or up to date.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The 'last updated' date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Operator's country of establishment, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
